Hey DC..I may have to move to your environs soon

so as to be near close family. That said, I'd like to hear your opinions on how another Trump term might affect DC itself as a place to live...Do you see any possible changes/problems coming up?

Thanks in advance for any possible insights or information you might have.

If Trump disperses agency personnel (which is really not that bad an idea}, it could take some of the pressure off the cost of living here.

I know it's quite expensive and was actually planning on trying a suburban area within an hour of the district. That said, I'm bound to be in DC a lot so I was just wondering if Trump could somehow make it more dangerous or just more difficult to live.

Crime rate puts it as the 13 highest in the country when compared to similar sized cities. Personally one of the jobs my company is doing just got robbed for the 3rd time in 2 months. Kind of getting sick of loosing thousands in material and tools every 3 weeks. We also tell our employees to empty their car of everything. When we did the first part of this project we had a 100% rate of guys cars getting broken in to, every single persons car was broken in to. And that's with nothing visible, like an empty car getting broken in to. We eventually figured out if the car had none DC tags it got broken in to even if empty.

Went to high school in Hyattsville, both my parents worked for PG county. My dad in public health and my mother in politics.

We loved living in Frederick up north of the city. Great restaurants, events, music. Beautiful countryside. You can jump on the train there very easily.

Pro tip: See if the Vista View Apartments has any openings.

With a view that is simply unbeatable. Across the valley from one end of the other. Every unit has a stunning view. 4th of July is an overload of fireworks shows that you can see far over the horizon. Great little town, the downtown is crazy good for such a small town, they were very smart and built great parking garages so everyone can go hit downtown for First Friday and what not.

We moved from Hawaii to Frederick to serve at Ft. Detrick. My wife's keen sense of intuition led her to the Vista View. It's kind of off the beaten path. We had the top corner of building one for five years before I retired.

There is a Tibetan Buddhist center up in the hills, a beautiful park... I could go on and on. Write back if you want more ~

VERY nice, especially the view..Having lived in the Illinois "flatlands" for
awhile, anything with a view has particular appeal for me. That said, I'm not sure I could afford the rents..It is a beautiful place, though...Thanks for the link.
