11:55p Monday: We have nudged down predicted snowfall amounts

for Wednesday's storm slightly as models suggest a little more mild air will be drawn into the DC region. Additional refinements may be needed tomorrow. Very tough forecast.

11:50 p.m. — We have lowered forecast snow amounts as models have trended a bit warmer for Wednesday storm

Computer models today have suggested enough warm air will come in off the ocean to push the rain-snow line a bit farther west than we were previously anticipating. As such we have lowered predicted amounts slightly, shaving off an inch off the high end amounts. We also dropped the “boom” totals some and nudged all but the highest snowfall ranges a bit north.
