direct tropical storm hit for Hawaii predicted by ECMWF model for next Monday...

the model animated at windy.com shows the tracking right across the islands and over honolulu.
Just slight deviation from projected path would avoid any extra-unpleasant weather however.

Reisdents should pay attention to this in the next few days

We should know by Sunday which way the storm will track. Either to the north or south of the Big Island. The storm will likely become destabilized by Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, winds will reduce speed, and folks will have at least a 2 year supply of toilet paper.
