Federal drug and firearms charges are contained in a new indictment naming 13 alleged members of two white supremacist prison gangs operating in Idaho, authorities announced Thursday.
The two gangs, the Aryan Knights and Severely Violent Criminals, carry influence inside the states prisons and in various communities in southern Idaho, authorities say.
Eleven of the 13 defendants are accused of drug crimes, including distribution of methamphetamine and three counts of conspiracy to distribute the drug, U.S. Attorney Bart Davis said in announcing the charges.

I am confident with these arrests our streets, our communities and our state are safer, Davis told the Idaho Statesman. I am also confident these gang street operations are substantially weakened.

(187,009 posts)2. Is the name really Severely Violent Criminals?
They are out there. Yikes, rough crowd.
Had a family member (married in) who saw a cousin at a bar and he came by to tell her "You don't know me. Don't look at me". Undercover DEA ATF something. He showed up at at other family's house and they met him with a shotgun. After he took off his sunglasses they realized who he was.
Saw him at a wedding. Retired. He'd been through it and it showed.
