ANDERSON A former city worker fired for racially charged Facebook posts said he has filed a grievance against the city.
James Barber, a former plant operator for the city's Water Pollution Control Department, is claiming the city didn't follow proper procedures leading to his termination July 29.
Barber was fired after the city's personnel department looked into complaints about racially disparaging comments posted by Barber as he watched the Democratic National Convention.
Tom Brown, personnel director for the city, said the administration determined Barber violated city policies concerning workplace violence; conduct unbecoming a city employee; engagement in behavior that would constitute sexual harassment or discrimination; disrespect of managers; and using degrading or abusive language to any employee or member of the public.

In 2012, Indiana became a "right to work" state. He can be fired at will, for no reason. Take a guess which gov'ner, now running for VP signed that into law.
He most likely voted for Pence, who signed into law the bill that takes away his legal rights that determined an employer must show just cause for termination.
I hope the judge laughs at him and tosses his case.
