Nicole Hasso, a Republican candidate for Iowas 3rd Congressional District, said she thinks the pandemic was a good thing for the United States because of the increased political activism it caused.
When COVID hit, I think that was the best thing that ever happened to our country, she told Breitbart News on Dec. 11.
The US recently passed the mark of 800,000 COVID deaths. In Iowa, 823 COVID patients are in the hospital and 7,680 people have died of it, according to state data. According to the Des Moines Register, there have been 552,898 confirmed COVID cases in Iowa throughout the pandemic.
Hasso explained that the pandemic was helpful because at-home learning showed parents whats being taught in schools. She said learning what children are taught in schools is how she and many others got involved in politics.

It's the same thing.

No matter almost a million deaths in the process.
Civilian casualties are to be expected in wartime.
No matter how much it has damaged the country. The GOP will use that to their advantage too.
