(1,229 posts)2. Ernst is worthless...
she wants to see which way the political wind(s) are blowing, then she'll bravely dip her toe in the water before releasing a half assed statement written by her publicist. Like I said: worthless

They all made inane twitter comments.
Iowa Republican leaders line up behind Trump after FBI raid: Weve got a right 2b skeptical
Iowas leading Republicans once again followed Donald Trumps lead and used social media on Tuesday to suggest corruption led to FBI agents executing a search warrant at Trumps Mar-a-Lago property on Monday. Not corruption on Trumps part, of course. Iowa GOP leaders have consistently ignored or avoided acting on evidence of Trumps corruption, whether personal, professional or political. Instead, they suggested the search of Mar-a-Lago and seizure of documents was the result of the corruption of federal law enforcement agents.
Trump was the one who announced to the world that his residence/country club in Palm Beach, Florida had been searched. Neither the FBI nor the Department of Justice made any public statement, and there were no leaks to the media about it.
...
Iowa Republican leaders began commenting on Tuesday morning.
The Iowa Republican Party tweeted out a blunt claim, unsupported by any evidence, that Democrats are using the Department of Justice to go after their political opponents. Like other Trump supporters, the Iowa GOP ignored the fact that a federal judge would have had to approve the search warrant.
The partys official Twitter account then immediately moved on to stroking fears that IRS agents will now be coming after Iowans and the middle class!
