Former Kentucky Coal Business Owner Dies In Mountain Bike Accident

ASPEN, Colo. (The Aspen Times)-- A man, who once operated a coal business in Kentucky, died Monday in fatal mountain-bike crash.

David Duff, 67, of Chavies, previously owned Pine Branch Coal before selling the company.

The coroner stated Duff died from a neck fracture after crashing a mountain bike at Snowmass Ski Area.

Officials said that Duff went over a jump on the Valhalla trail and then lost control when he landed on a second jump.

Reflexes are slowed, strength is diminished, ability to concentrate ebbs...

Unfortunately, the change is so gradual, we don't always recognize our growing limitations. Too bad for this person and his family. At least he died doing what he loved.
