I don’t know about there, but here pot is legal and they sell all sorts of edible products. The THC concentration can vary a lot. That being said I don’t now how much you’d have to ingest to get so sick you are hospitalized. Might be more to the story than you’ve been told.

9. Could be rare allergic reaction or it was spiked. Or underlying medical problem.

I have the rare allergic reaction. When I was in college I was at a party and smoked about a half a joint and became quite ill, uncontrollable vomiting, etc. I cannot even imagine what an edible would do to me.

In terms of it being spiked, I recently read an article warning young people that there is a marked increase in drinks being spiked at parties. I would assume that could apply to edibles as well.

I hope she will be OK.

I took care of teenagers in ICU who just took what drugs were offered. Had a 12yo who drank an unknown quantity of alcohol at a sleepover. She stayed off the vent, but others did not.

20. This is really strange

I wasn’t much into edibles but my brother was so I used to get it for him. Lots of different products and potency. But the capsules I got for him in a regular basis were 10mg per capsule. Sometimes he’d take 2. But it always seemed to me that when smoking it you’d top out at some point. Eating it, seems like you can keep going and more and more effect. I don’t know, limited experience with edibles.

Things are so different today I don’t really know what kind of advice to give. He’s a good kid and I just trust he’ll turn out ok.
