Montgomery County Social Media

The Montgomery County MD government has chosen X as their preferred social media platform, which can be seen from their posts and social media accounts. As an example, Pete Piringer is "Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service - an Internationally Accredited Combination Career & Volunteer Public Safety Organization" (this is from the official 'x' profile). This seem like an implicit preference for the Leon Musk platform, which is concerning since he is a representative for our county. It seems like others in the government have a similar preference.

It is difficult to contact Mr. Piringer through x - I can't message or comment on any posts. I eventually found an email for him, and sent him a message asking why he as Chief Information officer for the Country hasn't considered BlueSky, the current competitor to X. So far I haven't had a response, which doesn't surprise me (although it is a bit disappointing).

This may need attention from Marc Elrich. I haven't tried him yet, but I'm not optimistic I would get a better response.

Any suggestions on how to get our country government to be responsive to Social Media trends, and not just post on a platforms that is clearly aligned against the values espoused by our leaders and government information officers, like Pete and Marc?

If anyone has any suggestions, or would like to message our elected officials, any help is appreciated.

Thanks
