Gov. Wes Moore endorses Aisha Braveboy in Prince George's special election
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on Monday announced his endorsement of State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy in the Prince George’s County Executive special election.
Braveboy is currently in her second term as the county’s State’s Attorney.
According to Moore’s office, Braveboy and her office have secured an over 90% conviction rate for homicides, and she has also fought against predatory lending practices.
“As Governor, I have had the privilege of working together with Aisha Braveboy and I have seen her leadership up close, and she will be a fantastic partner in our shared mission of making Maryland and Prince George’s County safer, more affordable, and more competitive,” said Moore, via a news release. “The combination of her public and private-sector experience, her track record of delivering results in office, and her forward-facing vision to lead as the next County Executive is what inspired my decision. Prince George’s County will have full alignment between the county and the state as we fulfill our shared objective of delivering pathways to work, wages, and wealth to the people of Prince George’s County.”
