Adrian Commission Alters Ballot Language for Upcoming Local Street Millage Renewal Ask

Adrian, MI – The Michigan Attorney General’s Office did not approve submitted ballot language for the renewal of the City of Adrian’s local street millage…so the Commission voted on changes to the document.

Adrian Administrator Greg Elliott says that the AG’s office told him that the last time the City renewed this millage, it did not restore it to its pre-Headlee rollback level.

He said that the Commission must pass a new resolution and submit it to her office prior to July 30th in order for her office to have time to make a timely recommendation to the Governor regarding approval.

The City Commission called a Special meeting for Thursday afternoon to make appropriate changes.
