Tragic. That we have a country where a family has to sleep in their minivan at a parking ramp for a casino is just sad. All the money we have to dole out to the rich and to build killing machines with and there’s none left over for the needy.

And sadly symbolic that a woman and her 5 children are huddled in a mini van freezing to death in a parking structure for a casino where millionaires are fleecing the masses out of their hard earned dollars inside. Freezing to death in the shadow of a monument to excess.

Biden made more gains for the bottom 50% than any President in my 52 years of life had, but there were still too many slipping through the cracks, no social safety net, no hope. And now, with Elmo and Shitler at the helm, what little help they got is at risk and the last glimmer of hope is being extinguished.

A mother and her 5 children forced to live in a car and then risk freezing to death in the middle of a major city with more vacant housing than it knows what to do with. I don't care what this mother did wrong to put her and her children in this situation, their deaths are a failure of our system, of the city, the state, and the federal government, and a failure in our morality.
