Pastor with 8 DUIs tries to 'murder' officers with his car: report

This holy man worships many spirits.

A pastor with eight drunk driving offenses on his record went for another one last week in Michigan — this time, upping the ante by allegedly trying to kill a couple of Arenac County sheriff’s deputies, too.

ABC News reports that police officers called to a convenience store of of Interstate 75 came across Baptist pastor David Jones, who was seated in his car and appeared to be inebriated. Rather than cooperating with cops, the spiritual leader drove across a street, briefly stopped in a parking lot, then accelerated into the back of a building.

When officers moved in on Jones, he allegedly turned his vehicle in their direction and hit the gas, “smashing” their patrol car. Uninjured, the officers approached Jones’ car and had to break the pastor’s windows to remove him because he still refused to give himself up.

ABC News said that Arenac County Undersheriff Don McIntyre wasn’t ready to forgive.

I can verify that the sacramental wine came from a Welch's grape juice can. The only time that my father opened any wine was to soak the Christmas fruit cake with some Manischewitz. That bottle stayed around for the next 2 or 3 fruit cakes.

Most Southern Baptist preachers view alcoholism as a sin, particularly when other family members are affected. I won't be surprised to see the pastor hunting for a new flock to tend to.

They said that church picnics were interesting. Maybe Catholics have a different approach on alcohol ( I don't know.)

Maybe it is just the small town one of my friends comes from. The priest had his own church in the small town but sometimes went to do mass in a bigger town and that is why my other friend also knows about him.

Yup, got himself some notice between three towns because of that.
