A spokesman for the city of Lansing says the convoy of honking vehicles paid to reserve parking spaces downtown for all day Monday and Tuesday.

Cost to reserve parking spaces in downtown Lansing to spend 2 days honking in protest of COVID mandates that are generally no longer in existence at the state level:

$1,090.

One more fun fact on this protest:

The city tells me the person who paid for the parking reservations is from Indiana.

I use to live a block West of the Capitol on Allen St. Been to many events their, last being Women's March a couple of years ago.
