(10,837 posts)In Jorden the city of Petra has its most famous structure. It is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury.
On a documentary it was mentioned that the caves across from the structure were regular peoples homes. Those residents view was spectacular as ours is with the tree.

(35,897 posts)Lansing yesterday but it all melted. Luckily, we're just east of the Winter Storm Watch for 6-10 inches of snow thanks to Lake Michigan but we'll probably get a few inches anyway.
I'm sitting at the Subaru dealership while they get my Forester ready for winter, so bring it on!

(35,897 posts)if I don't wanna. Memories of scraping the windows and brushing off several inches of snow in the dark then slip-sliding to work make me want to just snuggle on the couch with the cats and smile, grateful I could retire at 59.

(35,897 posts)either Lake Michigan or Lake Huron. I grew up around Charlevoix about 2 miles from Lake Michigan so I know what it's like to get dumped on. We miss out on it here in Lansing for the most part -- unless the wind is strong straight out of the west and once in a while off of Lake Huron if the wind is wonky.
