A self-described sexually frustrated ‘outcast,’ Anthony McRae complained that no one liked him

By Steve Neavling on Fri, Mar 10, 2023 at 2:07 pm

(Detroit Metro Times) Before he went on a shooting rampage at Michigan State University, Anthony McRae wrote a letter in which he described himself as a sexually frustrated “outcast” whom people hated.

The two-page letter was found in his pocket after he turned a handgun on himself while police tried to arrest him a few miles from campus.

Police on Friday released the partially redacted letter, which was dated Feb. 12, a day before the shooting.

“Why do people hate me?” the 43-year-old wrote. “They never accepted me.”

McRae complained that “people treat me different” and said he hadn’t had sex for 10 years. ................(more)

Maybe if we did, that sad, fucked-up person might not have felt compelled to go out and shoot people and then himself. Mental illness kills.

The insurance companies refused to pay psych providers with all kinds of made up restrictions.
They knew the psych community was not powerful enough to fight them.

Many went out of business. Only the very prudent and small overhead psychologists survived.
And psychiatrists retrained in other medical specialties.

So we now have a severe shortage of psych providers.

Police did nothing about it even though he already had a previous conviction for a gun violation.

Ronald Regan shut down mental health hospitals say we have medications now. No longer need these places. In some cases we still need them. IMHO
