I subscribe to the print edition of the strib

And today I received a note to renew which I intend to. Interesting, though, payments are now mailed to... an address in Carol Stream Illinois. I think this is some type of a processing location; the Discover card payments go to Carol Stream, too.

Kinda sad that they have to outsource payments.

M-SP is 170 miles from me and my mail gets sorted in Green Bay before distribution.

They're using the Carmen SanDiego strategy.

...we subscribed to the Pioneer Press in my household, and I always liked the east metro/local news coverage there. After some awful endorsements in the early 2000s, I stopped paying attention to their editorial page. Nowadays I occasionally read the PiPress online, and I still love longtime columnist Ruben Rosario. From my more limited experience with the paper in the last 5-10 years, I can also say that local coverage from at least a couple of their younger reporters, Frederick Melo and Sarah Horner, has been really good.

That's sort of an aside, sorry. We subscribe to the Star Tribune at home now.

Support your local newspaper (whichever one it is)! That's all I really wanted to add on this topic.

and, for us, the print issues. The main section is mostly stories from the NYT and the WaPo, the Minnesota section is about arrests and violence and traffic deaths. Don't care about the sports section, Business is interesting to learn about new invention, we being a hub of medical devices..

and I still make a ritual of sitting on living room floor, sipping my tea while I casually read the Sunday edition, which is spread all around me. (Though I don't know how much longer I will be able to get myself off the floor when I'm done)
