Jackson County Poll Managers receive training ahead of Election Day

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - We are now 55 days from Election Day, and with time ticking down, poll workers are going through in-depth training to ensure your Election Day goes as smoothly as possible.

This two-day course will train about 200 people on the ins and outs and dos and don’ts of Election Day.

District 1 Commissioner Danny Glaskox says training changes just about every year and the workers have to be up to date on every detail.

“I tell each class that affidavit people are one of the critical areas because if a person is voting affidavit that ballot has to be done correctly or it won’t count,” Glaskox explained. “So it’s critical that they follow instructions to make sure that that person’s vote counts.”
