Missouri voters to decide on Proposition A and Amendment 7

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri voters will encounter a lengthy ballot this November, featuring over 30 candidates and issues, including five constitutional amendments and a statewide proposition.

Proposition A would mandate that Missouri workers receive at least one hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked and would raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2026.

There is currently no organized opposition to Proposition A, and supporters are confident that backing from hundreds of businesses will help them succeed.

"Our message is every worker deserves the opportunity to earn paid sick time off and every worker in the state of Missouri deserves wages where they can support their families and support themselves," said Joni Wickham from Missourians for Healthy Families and Fair Wages. "We feel really good about our chances."
