Early voting underway as St. Louis predicts low voter turnout for April 8 election

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - There are just over 10 days until Missouri’s municipal elections.

St. Louis City tested its voting equipment for the April 8 election. The machines are working fine for the election.

For the primary election, the city saw just under 18% voter turnout.

St. Louis City Board of Elections Director Gary Stoff, a Republican, said he’s predicting about a 25% turnout for the general election, which is lower than normal for a city election.
