Nevadas NRA chief dismisses Vegas massacre: Gun laws dont matter when someone has that kind of mentalityTravis Gettys 02 OCT 2017 AT 12:53 ET
The head of Nevadas NRA affiliate insisted no laws could have stopped a gunman from killing scores and wounding hundreds of concertgoers in Las Vegas.
Don Turner, president of the Nevada Firearms Coalition, learned about the deadly mass shooting Monday about 7 a.m. Las Vegas time when a reporter from Vice News called him to comment on the states gun laws.
The only restriction on magazine capacity in Nevada is how strong you are, Turner told the reporter, who realized the official wasnt aware that 58 people had been killed just hours earlier by gunfire during a country music event.
The reporter then told Turner, who reacted by cautioning against a rush to restrict firearms ownership.

(28,270 posts)Hell why do we have laws against bank robbery, murder etc?
Some people will commit the crime anyway.
I hate the NRA. They are a very successful terrorist org IMO.

(28,270 posts)Go to a bar and drink till you pass out, chances are it may just kill you.
Go get a bunch of MJ and smoke it till you fall asleep. You may consume lots of junk food and sleep soundly.
Alcohol kills tens of thousands of people every year. Pot kills ZERO people every year.
We all know which one will get you a 20 year sentence in Louisiana for simple possession right?
