Republicans sponsor two bills to limit, criminalize late-term abortions in N.H.

Republican representatives are sponsoring two 2021 bills that would limit and criminalize certain late-term abortions.

If either of these bills passes, Gov. Sununu will be pressed to affirm his “pro-choice” stance.
Ban at 24 weeks or ‘viability’

HB 625, sponsored by Rep. Beth Folsom (R-Wentworth) and seven other legislators, would ban abortion at or after 24 weeks gestation.

HB 622, sponsored by Rep. Walter Stapleton (R-Claremont) and three others, would prohibit abortion “to terminate the life of a viable fetus.” The bill does not specify an exact gestational age at which a fetus becomes “viable,” but the bill states, “Due to the advancement of medical technology, viability in Planned Parenthood v. Casey was considered to be about 23 or 24 weeks, rather than the 28 weeks previously held in Roe v. Wade in 1973.”

If Beth Folsom doesn't want an abortion after 24 weeks, she shouldn't get one.No one is forcing her to. If Walter Stapleton grows a uterus capable of gestating a fetus, he still can't decide for others. COVID? Jobs? No???

Yet, these so-called pro-lifers are A-OK with murder of already born human beings with family members and friends who love and depend upon them in their lives.

Still, it's widely acceptable to kill people in wars for oil, cops shooting people over toy guns, or deaths caused by contaminants, polluted environments, unsafe working conditions, etc. Not to mention disease and lack.of healthcare.

And those deaths are accepted, because certain people, traditionally powerful & wealthy men, benefit from the conditions causing those deaths

But a woman has no right to make such decisions that directly affect her life and have far less impact on others. (The unwanted unborn don't have loads of people whose lives they're a major part of loving them, depending on them, etc.)

5. Majority of abortions are at 8-10 weeks.

I wonder if they mention birth defects in these bills? It’s presumed that a woman six months pregnant is expecting to have a baby. A healthy baby.
