I recently moved to a different county within New Jersey -- was I going to have a problem with voting in 2024

if I was not a 30-day legal resident of the county as of Election Day?

As a precaution, I arranged to move in during the last week of August instead of the first week of September, then went online to update my voter registration info and re-apply for mail-in balloting. About ten days later, I received, completed, and returned a mail-in ballot request form.

I began to worry when I got no immediate response, but figured that the smartest route to take would be waiting a full 30 days before trying to take any action. It turned out to be the right call -- my mail-in ballot turned up about ten days into October!
