Albuquerque's Netflix production hub location gets mistaken for Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Albuquerque is making national headlines after Netflix announced it will be opening a production hub in the Duke City. This is the first production studio that Netflix will own here in the United States.

But it only took one day for a company to mix up New Mexico’s statehood. An article on Yahoo! Finance mentions the big news, but has a headline stating the hub will open in Mexico, rather than New Mexico.

The headline reads, “Netflix (NFLX) to Come Up With New Production Hub in Mexico.” The article continues to confuse the Land of Enchantment with the country of Mexico by saying Albuquerque is located in Mexico.

Users of the site acknowledged the mistake by commenting that New Mexico is indeed a state.
