We're in Elephant Butte. I think we got around 3 inches. We were at Storrie Lake in Las Vegas until Wednesday and we hightailed it out of there when we heard the forecast. It was pretty here this morning. We're in a motorhome and I was afraid it would get too cold in here but it hasn't been bad at all. I think we need to head further south soon though.
So, how about everyone else? How much snow did you get? I hope everyone is okay. Check in.

(113,131 posts)It flies above us and gets plastered against the Sandias or the volcanoes to the west. The winds died down after midnight and allowed us about 2 inches, the tail end of the precip. It was off pavement by 9 AM. It's still cold out there, but at least the wind has gone. It was brutal.
Still, I'm glad it's on the mountains. We've had so little snowpack out west for so many years that it's a delight to see.

(3,475 posts)We were going to go there but the parks there are so expensive and we were afraid we'd get snowed in. The forecast was calling for 4-6 inches there so we headed down to Elephant Butte instead. I'm just glad we left Las Vegas-I heard they got hammered.
Good to hear you didn't get hit too bad. We're not picking up any local channels here so I haven't seen the news. Just wondering how everyone is doing.

(3,475 posts)This storm system is heading east. I hope you don't get hit by it. We went through Missouri last month on our way to New Mexico but we were further south. Pretty state. Hope it warms up for you soon.
