911 operator hangs up

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Fire Department has confirmed that one of their employees has been placed on administrative duty after mishandling a 911 call.

A woman can be heard in the 911 call trying to save 17-year-old Jaydon Chavez-Silver’s life. The woman curses in the call and Driver Matthew Sanchez can be heard telling her “you can deal with this yourself.”

1. Wonder why he was shot

No reason, I assume.

Not that this is relevant to the sad fact of the 911 call being wrongly handled. But it's kind of odd to read about a 17 year old getting shot and killed, and there is not even a need to explain why. Why "someone started shooting".

Not even a hint that the writer felt the need to address that question. Just like "it started raining".
