Related: About this forumI'll be in Santa Fe the 3rd week of Oct.
I hope it will be nice and cool by then. I need a break from the heat and humidity we are having in Los Angeles

(23,156 posts)I will almost undoubtedly be out of town, as I have a class reunion in Tucson, immediately followed by a science fiction thing in Denver, although I should be here about two or three days between those two.
It will be lovely here. Highs will typically be in the low 60's, overnight lows going down to the upper 30's. Be sure to bring sweaters and a light jacket.
And it's always dry here. Don't forget the altitude. We're at 7,000 feet.
The altitude is always a challenge for me. I was there last Nov and it was delightfully cold. This will also be a trip for solitude and introspection, museums and walks. Recently lost an old dear friend, and another has a couple months left at best.

(23,156 posts)I'm sure you know the basics: lots of water, less alcohol, and move more slowly.
I've lived here for seven years now, and I love being at high altitude. Going down to Tucson, at 2500 feet, feels almost oppressive.
