Lawmaker Keller spoke on white power advocate's show
COLUMBUS - Rep. Candice Keller, who recently compared Planned Parenthood's logo to a swastika, promoted her sanctuary cities ban on a radio show whose host who has advocated for white culture and power.
Keller, R-Middletown, appeared on The Sonny Thomas Show in February to talk about her proposal to penalize city officials who approve sanctuary city status. In these cities, police largely avoid questioning individuals arrested about their immigration status.
Host Brian "Sonny" Thomas, founder of the Springboro Tea Party, has made headlines for unfurling a Confederate flag at a school board meeting and trying to unseat a former GOP congressman from the state central committee. On Twitter, Thomas shares sentiments such as "Britain must be restored to pre-1950 demographics. Displacing natives in their homeland is a crime" and "We must secure the existence of our race and a future for white children!" – the credo of David Lane, a white supremacist leader.
On the website for Thomas' show, where a recording Keller's interview is available, there are scrolling images with messages such as "Our white culture is beautiful!" and " 'Diversity' is a code word for white genocide.' "
