(22,053 posts)If the person works 40 hours a week, that means an increase of $6 per week. That is not going to lift a person out of poverty.

Unfortunately, a poison pill was added to [the bill] which allows every politician in Ohio to receive a 25 percent pay increase and does nothing to help Ohioans whose wages have been stagnant for years, he said.
This should be shouted from the rooftops, Ohio journalists and media!

We also have rec legal cannabis, and reasonably strong gun control.
Our world hasn't ended. It isn't expected to end. There isn't any social outrage from the business community.
We do have an affordable housing shortage, and rents are sky high, so it isn't utopia. Oh, and we have a LOT of koch trained astroturf being laid out in communities across the commonwealth.
But it ain't Ohio either.......

(34,380 posts)I live in Columbus, the urban areas here are very very different from the surrounding 'burbs & the ruby red rural areas.
I have lived here since 89, the changes I see are amazing.
Besides, you got Legal Seafood, all over the place, and I am freaking JEALOUS
