Good news for those of us in Ohio

Saw in Dayton Daily News that they're going to send out absentee/vote by mail applications to all Ohio voters ahead of the elections.

Also, question to Ohioans who know more about it than I - is the four-week registration deadline for the general election unusual? I thought we used to have to register farther ahead than that, but maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, the Ohio house and senate lost that battle, by all indications. If they get off their butts and actually send out the ballots, we'll be in better shape than I was afraid we'd be.

And my Mom will be glad she doesn't have to request an application (so am I, cuz I do that for her!)

Poll worker, so I always vote absentee
