Was in PA this week, ground game
I was just outside Pittsburgh and the three cities of New Kensington Arnold and Lower Burrell visiting family. They are mostly older and have the news on a lot. I saw an awful lot of TV ads from diarrhea mouth, not as many from the Harris campaign from of Pittsburgh TV stations. However I could not believe the amount of diarrhea mouth signs that were in the town of lower burrell. Must be a really backwards area. Everything left in 1970 I know but it's no excuse to be a fucking asshole.

(154 posts)They're in ppls yards. One sign says hillbilly felon. There are Harris signs too one trump jail but 4 to 1 in that one town - lower burrell for shithead. I looked up the demographics they're 95% White out of 11,000 people. It just is unnerving being so close to downtown Pittsburgh this is going on. Of the three cities it is the most well-off Arnold's homes are mostly wooden so our new kensington's homes and they're older this is a very old area.

(154 posts)What can you say about that area? The people seem so unhealthy maybe it's the I don't want to offend anybody they are as light as a ghost I'm Italian descent so I'm a little more Olive shall we say and I live in Texas and people here are darker maybe it's the Sun I know the sun doesn't like to peek out very much in Pittsburgh although every day I was there the sun was out never happened to me before seems like it likes to rain and storm every 2 to 3 days

(16,342 posts)Lots of grievance related to the loss of the mills and manufacturing and their comfortable middle class life. Many residents are still pining for the mills to return. Stuck in the past, too stubborn to understand it's not going to be 1950 again.

(2,117 posts)Were the Trump ads on the news programs? Or were there other programs? Which news programs? Generally the campaigns will target their ads during times/shows when they think will have a large audience of their supporters.
HagathaCrispy
(154 posts)Yeah it was during the news primarily however they were ads on all freaking day there I could not stand it especially since the television was always on.

(2,117 posts)I've been pleasantly surprised. Almost every commercial break, they play a Kamala Harris ad. So far through 3 quarters of the game, I've heard only 1 Trump ad, and at the 3rd quarter break hey played a Dave McCormick for Senate ad.
I've been listening to the radio broadcasts all year, and for at least the past month, they've been loaded with political ads. And up until this week, they were split pretty evenly between the 2 parties but tonight, it's basically all Harris. I don't know in Trump pulled his ads or what, but it's nice not having to mute the sound for a while during every commercial break. So far I've only had to hit the mute twice all night!

(11,314 posts)My cousin Mike is in Harmarville. Well, was in Harmarville. He's now in hospice, with end-stage cancer. I hope he voted.
HagathaCrispy
(154 posts)Everybody calls it Harmarville but all of the signs and online and even my maps say Harmar Township I don't know what it's never occurred it just seems kind of weird I know that's why I would get on and off the turnpike though.
I think there was a Primanti Brothers my lovely in law took me to around that area about a decade ago already. I don't know I did not go or stay very long in that area I just passed it if I drove in on 28 I think it's on 28th but the sign says 12 to Pittsburgh so I imagine it would be more friendly toward us
