Two brothers from New Jersey were killed and two other brothers are in critical condition after a car crash off an I-95 overpass, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
A 2006 Mazda carrying the four brothers was headed north on the highway near mile marker 25.5 in the Port Richmond area when the driver lost control. The vehicle hit the guardrail, overturned numerous times and plunged 20 to 30 feet down onto Castor Avenue, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The two brothers riding in the backseat were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police said. They were 18 and 22 years old. ... The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The driver and front passenger, who are 18 and 23 years old, have “critical but non-life threatening injuries,” Trooper Paul Holdefer said Monday morning. ... Police would not identify the brothers by name or hometown.
