Organizers have postponed a Saturday paid event on mentorship and a new book from Sen. Dave McCormick and his wife, which was set to be the first joint event in Pittsburgh for Mr. McCormick and Sen. John Fetterman, who have both faced pressure from constituents demanding greater responsiveness and town halls in recent weeks.
Initially set for the Pittsburgh City Winery before the location was pulled from the event page amid progressive groups’ plans of protest, the event was postponed “due to an unforeseen logistical issue,” according to an email from the senators’ teams to ticket holders that was shared with the Post-Gazette.
Tickets were $32 and came with a copy of Mr. McCormick’s and his wife Dina Powell McCormick’s book “Who Believed in You?”
The comments at the end of the story are pointed as well as amusing.
