The presidential election is in less than 47 days and Anderson County is short 470 poll workers.

There are 79 precincts in Anderson County, and 126,494 people are registered to vote.

"We generally need 600 poll workers to fully staff all locations," Anderson County Precinct Coordinator Austin Cooley said. "We currently have 200 and are short 470 workers.

"Given the events of this year's presidential race, this year's election is expected to have one of the biggest turnouts in Anderson County history," Cooley said.
