(947 posts)...to so much of the most ugly policies of MAGA and right-wing Republicans. What Texas has done to women makes me wonder how it can't be in play. Latinos in Texas are certainly concerned about the crossings at the border and how it impacts their lives and homes, but that doesn't mean they see Republican policies like separating families and concentration camps are the answer.
The issue wit Texas is it's a huge and expensive gamble. If the Allred/Cruz race shows signs of competitiveness, that could entice more investment in the state.
Very true, Texas IS expensive. The good news is that Republicans are cash-strapped due to DT's legal bills, and we are experiencing record fundraising with the Kamala effect. I hope Democrats invest heavily here to force republicans to fight where they didn't expect to, and to demoralize them a bit by showing that they will have to expend resources in places they previously could take for granted.

(3,714 posts)Whether Texas turns blue for President Biden or not I know sending support to Texas will help the down ticket democrats. Also help future elections here.
Edit: And that was before the abortion ban here.

(856 posts)I see and hear a change in my sleepy bedroom community near San Antonio.
I see very few Trump signs/flags and NO cowboy Cadillacs driving around with the Trump and American flags.
My HOA permits yards signs 30 days before the election. October will be interesting.
