Missouri City District C Councilmember runoff election voting continues this week
Realtors Joanna Ouderkirk and Shad Bogany will face a runoff election this week for Missouri City District C councilmember.
They are running to replace Councilmember Anthony Maroulis, who joined city council in 2015 and did not seek re-election this year.
District C includes parts of the Oyster Creek area, Riverstone, Colony Lakes and Sienna neighborhoods.
Ouderkirk received 2,500 votes in the November election, about 35% of the vote share. Bogany received 1,659 votes, roughly 23% of the vote share. However, neither candidate received the majority of votes needed to win the crowded race – which included three other candidates – triggering a runoff election.
