Lyin' Gov. Youngkin (R) and the Boeing deal

You may know that Boeing is moving its HQ to Arlington. It’s not that big a deal, because only two top managers’ staff will be moved in the near term. Boeing already has lots of employees in Arlington.

But Youngkin is bragging to everyone he brought the company to VA, through his connections to executives in the company. Now, you know these deals take years to finalize, and Youngkin has been in office only a few months.

Sure enough, Sen. Warner (D) put out info that in fact HE and others had been involved in the negotiations for a long time. Boeing’s official announcement thanked both of them, since they aren’t stupid and don’t want either upset with them.

And Youngkin’s office refused to answer reporters’ questions about what tax breaks or other incentives are being granted to Boeing.
