Voodoo Doughnut sets opening for first Seattle shop

Portland's most famous doughnut shop will soon make its debut in Seattle, along with its signature pink facade.

Voodoo Doughnut is filling 2,600 square feet in the Booker Building on Capitol Hill, at the corner of Pine Street and Minor Avenue. The opening is set for 8 a.m. Dec. 10, with 20% of the day's proceeds being donated to local culinary nonprofit FareStart.

“Capitol Hill is the perfect home for our first Seattle shop," CEO Chris Schultz said in a news release. “We’re not just opening a store; we’re joining a community — and our partnership with FareStart underscores our commitment to making a positive local impact.”

Plans for the cult-favorite doughnut store's first Seattle location emerged in October 2023, though with few details about when it was expected to open.
