Snohomish County to mail property tax statements this month

EVERETT — County officials will mail 2025 tax statements to Snohomish County property owners in mid-February, the county assessor’s office said in a press release Monday.

Snohomish County property owners are set to pay over $1.8 billion in property taxes in 2025, about a 6% increase over 2024’s $1.75 billion. More than half of the money will go toward schools, both locally and throughout the state. Fire districts, the county, local cities, libraries and road maintenance also receive funding via property taxes.

The total assessed value of properties across the county also increased from $212 billion in 2024 to $223 billion in 2025, the release said.

In November, the County Council approved a 4% increase to the county’s portion of a property tax bill. Voters also approved 11 additional property tax measures in 2024, most going toward school districts.
