64% of Washington voters oppose Donald Trump's tariffs, with 60% strongly opposed and 4% somewhat opposed

Voters in America’s most trade-dependent state resoundingly feel that Donald Trump’s punitive tariffs on Canada and Mexico are harmful, with close to two-thirds expressing opposition to them and three-fifths expressing strong opposition, the Northwest Progressive Institute’s latest survey of the Washington electorate has found.
64% of likely 2025 voters surveyed last week by Civiqs for NPI said that they opposed the twenty-five percent tariffs Trump has threatened to impose on Canada and Mexico, America’s neighbors, while only 34% said they supported them. 3% were not sure.
60% were strongly opposed, while only 24% were strongly supportive. 10% were somewhat supportive and 4% were somewhat opposed.
The Evergreen State has for decades had an economy powered by trade.
