The Packers take control

Green Bay (8-8) took advantage of several breakdowns in the Minnesota Vikings secondary for a massive 33-10 win that now puts the Packers in control of their playoff fates. If they beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon, they will be in thanks to the Seattle Seahawks' loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

I haven't kept up with the Russell Wilson mess. What's going on with that? I though Russ was the most recently worshipped in the NFL. Obviously not?

some weirdness about the Wilson thing. They wanted him to redo his contract because they owe him huge money. But he apparently said no and so it looks like they benched him but it made little sense. His contract is so huge that nobody is going to trade for him. Denver just went crazy with what the gave him especially in light of some of the younger quarterbacks coming along that they could have gotten for way less money. It's a mess of huge proportions with several years to go on his contract. It was discussed by some sports heads on radio that much of that huge money is guaranteed.
