Early in-person voting in Wisconsin surpasses last two presidential elections

Early in-person voting in Wisconsin has broken the record of the past two presidential elections.

As of Thursday morning, nine days since early voting began, there have been over 700,000 in-person early votes cast. That is more than 40% higher than the number of early in-person votes around this time in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections.....

As of Thursday morning, the Milwaukee Election Commission had received close to 80,000 absentee ballots — the total number of ballots the commission had estimated would come in throughout the election.

"If current trends continue, the MEC (Milwaukee Election Commission) expects to receive over 100,000 ballots by Election Day," city spokesperson Caroline Reinwald said in a statement.
