Officials warn voters about fake election materials as Wisconsin's April 1 election nears
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — We’re just over two weeks out from the April 1 election and municipalities are continuing to prepare for the big day.
Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) is warning about misleading campaign materials circulating the state. They say some voters are receiving false election information.
One instance circulating the web is of a handwritten postcard asking voters to elect Judge Susan Crawford for Wisconsin Supreme Court, 10 days after the election. One Milwaukee resident says he recently received one.
“The date is wrong. The election is on April 1 and this says April 11,” Nick Iannone said.
