Wisconsin Supreme Court election kicks off with early voting March 18

MILWAUKEE — Early in-person voting starts March 18 for Wisconsin's April 1 state Supreme Court election between conservative Waukesha County Judge Brad Schimel and liberal Dane County Judge Susan Crawford.

The winner will determine the ideological balance of the court.

Many voters at Waukesha and Wauwatosa city halls Tuesday told a 12 News crew that this race is at the top of their minds as they fill out their ballot.

"I watched the debate on TV and I read the paper and people have got to do their job by voting for the right person in there," said Susan Van Abel, who voted in Waukesha.
