Wisconsin's early voting ends this weekend ahead of Tuesday's general election
MILWAUKEE — According to the Wisconsin Elections Commission, more than 475,000 people have voted absentee ahead of Tuesday's general election. More than 242,000 of those were in person.
Thirty-thousand absentee ballots have been returned in the city of Milwaukee, and almost 15,000 of those were from in-person voting, which ends Saturday in the city.
"If you have an absentee ballot, we recommend and encourage you to please take it to a drop box or one of our early voting sites so it will be guaranteed to come on election day. Since we're getting too close to the election, we don't want you to put it in the mail in the event it comes to us after election day," Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Paulina Gutierrez said.
