this past week including my 2 month old infant grandson ☹️
They went out together for Halloween and boom ! by Wednesday all were sick …

The baby was tested and was positive so we had to assume all had it.
Luckily they are all recovering now.

I mask everywhere I go

Even though I babysat my 20 month old for a week because she could not go to daycare, I did not get it. We all tested at least 3 times but all negative, thankfully. I wear my mask indoors if there are crowds.

which is compounding the problem. I know if I see children's Tylenol or Advil I will pick it up. My D-I-L was trying to get some for infants and the pharmacists will mix it for her for $35.00 at Shoppers. I went to a small drug store near my home and got it mixed by the pharmacist and a bigger amount for $17.00. It will expire in January but at least she has some on hand. People really need to shop around for a good price.

We even cancelled our (American) Thanksgiving travel plans to see friends and family in California because there were just too many people we would come in contact with, and no effective, unawkward way to assess the risks when in close contact with them.

Instead, we’ll go to Portland and see my son, daughter-in-law and our new grandchild. Just three people who would happily test if symptomatic or had a known exposure.

Here in BC, I doubt we’ll see a significant increase in mask wearing, but it’s not impossible.
