Related: About this forumTories want to de-select David Gauke, Justice Secretary, for voting with the government
The justice secretary, David Gauke, is also facing a no-confidence vote over his Brexit stance. A notice has been sent out saying a special general meeting of his South West Hertfordshire Conservative Association will take place on 28 June.

Gauke only voted against the majority of Tory MPs on 2 Brexit votes:

On both of those, he voted with David Addington, May's closest ally (on one, May herself voted with them, on the other, she abstained - it was a free vote about the Malthouse compromise)

They call that "wilful obstruction to the implementation of the result of the 2016 referendum, and his refusal to act upon the commitments made in the Conservative manifesto". The lunatics are taking over the asylum. As long as they tear it down but don't allow Farage to get any influence in government instead, I guess that's fine, but these are the idiots now allowed to choose the next PM. If the Tory party collapses, there will be collateral damage.

to deselect moderate Republicans, or deter them from the outset, until they ended up with Trump!

Based on my experience of these clowns in an area where they are still prospering.
However, they keep surprising me with how loony they are becoming. A very large segment of the Conservative Party sat on their hands during the EU elections in protest at the withdrawal agreement not being ideologically pure enough and now the same fruitcakes are trying to use the current Tory leadership contest as a way to drive what few moderates they have left out of the party.
