Brexit party support would rise from 9% to 18% in an election after Oct 31st

Labour figures are licking their lips at the prospect of Mr Johnson’s poll lead vanishing if he has failed to take the UK out of the EU by his Halloween deadline.

An ICM poll suggested support for Nigel Farage’s Brexit party would double from 9 per cent to 18 per cent if an election takes place after that date.

Commissioned by Represent Us, which supports a Final Say referendum, it found the Conservatives and Labour would be neck and neck on 28 per cent in a November poll.

The Tory figures for a general election "held tomorrow" were 37%, and Labour 30%. Lib Dems were 16% "tomorrow", 17% after October.

So we can see why Johnson wants to hold one as soon as possible, and why it's a good idea to say "not until Oct 31st has gone". Full poll results at https://www.icmunlimited.com/our-work/represent-us-brexit-voting-intentions-poll/

ICM Unlimited interviewed a representative sample of 2,041 GB adults (18+) online between 30 August and 03 September 2019. The data has been weighted to the profile of all adults aged 18+ in Great Britain and is weighted by age, gender, social grade, household tenure, work status, and region. The data is also weighted by 2017 general election vote and 2016 EU referendum vote. Thus, poll, online, taken before "stop the coup" as more no-deal Brexit info was exposed....

Everyone has an agenda...just like the former French Diplomat who says Macron will be tempted to veto an extension...art. 50..

That description of the poll makes it the most reliable you can realistically get. ICM is a reputable polling firm.

By the way, 'stop the coup' was planned from 28th Aug, with the main marches on 31st - see eg: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/28/protests-sparked-by-boris-johnsons-plan-to-suspend-parliament

so, no, not 'before "stop the coup"'.

It worked for Thatcher, after all (it's an open secret in Argentina that Galtieri staged the invasion at Reagan's request, to rescue the Maggot).

And Macri is a lame duck anyway. Less popular than lice - or Boris.
