(8,008 posts)I'm watching the re-opening of Parliament live (the joys of being self-employed and working from home) - it may end up being the most-watched session for quite a while.
Attorney General Cox must be the most arrogant patrician twat I've ever had the misfortune to hear speak. Given the scurrilous smacktalk about the verdict and the judges that's been leaked from the sore-loser Cabinet yesterday and overnight, a little more contrition might be in order.
Johnson won't be taking PMQs today, but is scheduled to make a statement later - fresh off the red-eye from New York, so that's something to look forward to, I guess.

(8,008 posts)Just after I posted that, I heard a clear and strident Melchettesque "BEHHHH" from somebody else in the House among the babble. Maybe they've been cloned? Maybe they're reading this thread??

(2,657 posts)Authoritarianism has been nipped in the bud once more. While our country only rebelled against one British leader who severely overreached, that was more than enough for us. Always glad to see whenever you folks also make quick work of wannabe tyrants.

(14,805 posts)...Was widely regarded as the worst Prime Minister of all time.
That was until Theresa May came along. And now we have Boris Johnson who is far, far worse!

(37,468 posts)I was very heartened to see your Supreme Court issue that unanimous judgment instead of a 6-5 verdict (if that's possible). I think it will now be possible to stop Brexit, or at the very minimum have one that is not quite as disastrous as a crash-out Brexit.
Congrats and keep the faith, from across the waves
